Bit Builder — Privacy Policy

Bit Builder ("the app," "we," "us") is a tool for stand-up comedians to write, organize, and record their material. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party advertising or tracking.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email and name from that provider (with Apple you may choose "Hide My Email," and we use the relay address). We never receive your Google or Apple password.
• Content you create — the jokes, bits, sets, shows, and notes you write in the app, and any audio recordings of your sets that you choose to record.
• Diagnostics — if the app encounters an error, limited crash/error information may be sent to our error-monitoring provider to help us fix bugs. This does not include your recordings or the content of your material.

How we use it

• To provide the app: store your material and recordings and sync them across your devices.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To send account email such as password resets.
• To diagnose and fix crashes and errors.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Where your data is stored

Your account, content, and recordings are stored on our hosting and database providers (Amazon Web Services and Supabase) on servers in the United States, protected in transit by HTTPS/TLS.

Third-party services we use

• Google and Apple — optional sign-in.
• Supabase and Amazon Web Services — database, file storage, and hosting.
• Resend — sending account email (e.g. password resets).
• Sentry — crash and error reporting.

These providers process data only to deliver their service to us.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account at any time from within the app (Account menu → "Delete account"). This permanently deletes your account, your content, and your recordings from our systems.
• You can edit or delete individual jokes, sets, shows, and recordings in the app.
• To request access to or deletion of your data outside the app, contact us at the email below.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your data and recordings are deleted. Backups, if any, are cycled out on a routine schedule.

Children

Bit Builder is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
